Hello everyone! This is a topic I had introduced before this new stracture of the ESP forum was created, and I thought I could copy it and bring it to your attention again. It is about simple technology that can be used to help people in developing countries have access to clean, drinkable water. This technology is cheap and I think we should take a closer look at it. You see, sometimes a solution can be found in the least unexpected way...
So, here I have a site where you can find information about technology that can save many lifies, such as the life straw, which sort of filters the water before someone drinks it, the "ceramic water filter" which helps a lot to dicrease diarrhea, the "bamboo tridle pumb" that allows poor farmers to access underground water during the dry season, and the "water storage systems" which capture and store monsoon rainwater in India..
Of course, our world needs something more than a lifestraw to be saved, but maybe this is a good way to bein with!
What do you think??

Some simple and cheap technological solutions
My students and I are very happy to see some cheap solutions for poor people, we think these are useful for future sustainability, but a cheap solutions have to be available for all poor people. It's also important, we think, to get better to collect rainwater in big butt near their house.
