The Meeting of the Jury

Dear Members of the ESP,

Recently, the Jury of the 2nd European Science Parliament has held its meeting, during which a number of schools has been chosen for participation. We are currently in the process of contacting the winners. So what next?

1. To all who were not contacted:
The European Science Parliament is not entirely about a small group of persons meeting in Aachen. It is at least as much a project about e-Participation, community and cooperation.

Thus, it is important that you too continue your efforts for our project. The others need your help sorting the materials that you have collected so far for the conference and the Aachen Declaration. Additional research for new issues as well as sources for old issues are necessary.

In addition to that, we intend to broadcast visual impressions as well as intermediate results to the site during the conference, so that you will be able to follow the event live over the internet. It is even planned to give persons who are not in Aachen the opportunity to join in with video statements.

There will be more information about that in a short while.

2. To all who were contacted:
Congratulations! Your team is granted the opportunity to visit Aachen and to be the Members of the 2nd European Science Parliament. But please don't forget that this is only the beginning of all the work! So don't rest on your newly-won laurels!

The following preparatory online stage is the most important stage of the ESP, since the course for the content of the Aachen Declaration is set now.

You being aware of that, let me just add one more thing: Right now, there are many persons who can share the work. The contributions of those who were not invited to Aachen must not be forgotten, and their work can as well be a part of the Aachen Declaration. So please, keep this in mind and make use of it. Thank you.

We will announce the winners publicly in a short while, probably at the beginning of next week.

Best regards,
Fabian
& The Organisation Team
